To calculate the CTB, the certifying entity will multiple their total cradle-to-customer emissions times the internal carbon fee (currently $15/tonne for the 2025 Certification Year). The result is the Climate Transition Budget.

If you do not yet have a complete GHG inventory for the Emissions Year, we recommend estimating your total emissions based on a prior year of measurement and projected growth in your business and/or emissions reductions you expect to realize.

Once your measurement is approved for certification, the BEE will display your minimum CTB and allow you to document your VCA, BVC, and OC projects.
