For certifying entities aiming to document use of “preferred” low-carbon inputs across dozens or hundreds of SKUs, the documentation burden can be unnecessarily high. TCCP certifiers will determine, on a case by case basis, whether it may be pragmatic to employ a “reasonable sampling approach” to assess a limited, randomized subset of documentation in place of reviewing the full set of documentation for every SKU. Alternatively, TCCP may accept aggregate forms of documentation that cover all preferred inputs, if available.
