Purchases of products and services from other Climate Label Certified entities may be eligible to count towards the Climate Transition Budget (CTB). These types of purchases are typically categorized under Value Chain Abatement (VCA). As such, the documentation requirements are adapted as follows:
Proof of purchase - required, no modifications
Proof of price premium - required, no modifications
Proof of lower carbon - waived. As long as the other company’s certification is active, this counts as proof of lower carbon. When you upload Proof of purchase in the BEE, you may check “Proof of lower carbon” for that document.
Projected emissions impact - waived for eligible spending under $1000; enter 0 tCO2 in the BEE. Required for eligible spending over $1000.
