What are personal and interaction events? Personal events allow you to add events to your system's calendar without having to be tied to an order. You could use personal events for things like doctor's appointments, booking days off for staff or mobile units, holidays, or even your personal tasks.

Interaction Events allow you to add events to your system's calendar linked to Customers or Leads in your system. The Interaction Events will be created in your calendar only for calls, meetings, and tasks.

As a user, you have the ability to create personal events and interaction events, on the calendar within the Home menu using the drag and drop feature as well as by clicking on the '+' sign in the top right-hand corner of the calendar. To create a new personal or interaction event on the calendar start by clicking on the Home tab and selecting the calendar option. From there go to your desired date, then left-click and drag the cursor to choose the time you wish to schedule the new personal or interaction event.

Both options in one picture above or broken into two pictures below. Which is better? I think in one picture to reduce clutter.

After selecting the desired time you will be given the choice of creating a Personal Event, an Interaction Event, an Event with a Quote, or an Event with an Order, as seen above. By selecting 'Create an Interaction Event' you will open a form to allow you to attach a customer or lead. You can then select the interaction type, whether it be a meeting, call, or a task. After choosing your interaction event type you can then enter/confirm the time and date of the interaction as well as adding any notes and assigning employees to the interaction. It is important to note that the save button must be clicked to save the interaction to the calendar.

If you choose 'Create a Personal Event' you will open a different form that will allow you to add the necessary personal event details such as the name of the event, the time and date, whether a resource is being used e.g. a vehicle, assign employees, and add notes. Again it is important to note that the save button must be clicked to save the event to the calendar.

Finally, once you have entered the relevant information to your personal or interaction events and have saved them they will be created and appear on the calendar.

The support team is more than happy to help if you have any further questions about creating personal or interaction events, so please don't hesitate to chat in and ask.
