Clone/Duplicate Recurring Sub-Templates:

The recurring order templates have the ability to be cloned/duplicated. This can save significant time when attempting to recreate an existing recurring order template.

Cloning a recurring template can be very useful when setting up multiple similar templates within the main parent recurring order. It can also be greatly helpful for when you need to recreate a template at a new frequency schedule. Ie. The client switched from a monthly frequency to an every 2-week frequency.

Cloning a recurring template allows you to copy all of its original information into a new template without having to rebuild all of the details from scratch. It also allows you to set up a different copy frequency upon cloning if needed.

  1. Click the duplicate button within any recurring order template that you wish to clone. ALL information tied to the original template will be copied onto the new template, including line items, prices, discounts, notes, taxes, appointment details, interaction details, job files, and job notes. (Existing jobs potentially attached to a template will NOT be copied)

NOTE: If you simply wish to clone/create a new template with all of the same frequency settings, then skip the steps below. The duplicate recurring form will pre-load with the same settings as the template you are duplicating.

2. Set your first job date (when do you want to schedule the next job?).

3. Set your schedule type (copy frequency).

4. Set your jobs to be created on the following days (when daily or weekly) or dates (when monthly or yearly).

5. Set your lead time (how many days in advance of the present date to create the jobs)

6. Click the final ‘Duplicate’ button to create your cloned template.

Upon saving, you will see a new template listed on the page. If your template does not have a name, it will name the template with a default numbered sequence. Ie. 2, 3, 4 etc.

7. Remember: Click the Generate Jobs button once you are ready to put your recurring template in motion.

Note: You can even now duplicate a previously cancelled template!
