Entering Tips when Accepting Payment on Jobs:

(Note: this feature is OFF by default. Please message support if you would like to turn on the Tips feature)

We have created an improved process to help you record tips on jobs. You can now record a tip amount included in any payment that you record in BPro. This is especially useful when a tip amount is included in a total check or credit card payment amount. Now, you can record your payment in full, record the tip amount, and everything will balance out on the job. You will no longer need to apply an unnecessary refund in order to account for tips on your job.

When accepting payment on any job, you will now see a ‘tip’ field on the accept payment form. You can enter a tip amount anytime you are accepting payment on a job, for any payment type.

When a tip amount is included while accepted the payment, the tip will be recorded on the job and the job’s balance owing is fully cleared, without leaving it overpaid.

All tips recorded on jobs are referenceable on the jobs list (new tip amount column), on the accepted payments report, and on the new ‘Gratuity Report’ that reports solely on tips entered in the system.
