When creating Estimates/Quotes in the system, you have the ability to create multiple, varied sub-proposals. This can allow you to present your client with multiple sub-proposals (service/pricing options) to consider.

ex. The client would like one quote for having their windows cleaned and their gutters repaired. They would also like a second quote for the window cleaning, gutter repairs, and also pressure washing their deck.

The multiple sub-proposal option within estimates allows you to create these varied proposals/pricing options. Here's how below:

Here we have created our initial estimate and sub-proposal for the window and gutter work.

Now, we will generate the second proposal that reflects the added pressure washing option. In the proposal section, next to the green Win button, (proposal 1) we can click the dropdown arrow and choose to generate a new sub-proposal or sub-proposal with option.

Selecting 'New Proposal' will generate a new, blank sub-proposal within this estimate.

Selecting 'New Proposal with Options' will allow you to launch a new sub-proposal by cloning any of the existing sub-proposals. Cloning can be very helpful as all of the information tied to the initial proposal will copy onto the new one. Then we will just need to add the pressure washing service option to sub-proposal 2. 'new proposal with options' also allow you to name the sub-proposal at the onset. ex. "windows, gutters + deck"

After clicking create, we have our secondary sub-proposal in place and we add the pressure washing line item to it.

You can click the proposal dropdown arrow and toggle between your sub-proposals at any time. Each sub-proposal is separate, yet related to the main estimate number.

NOTE: a) You can create as many sub-proposals as you need.

NOTE: b) We do not support emailing all sub-proposals at once. If you want to email all subproposals to your client in a single email, toggle between the proposals and download the pdf copies of each one. Then you can click the email button and attach all of the proposals that you want your client to receive, to a single email.

Lastly - Only 1 sub-proposal can be 'WON' and turned into a job. If the client turns down certain sub-proposals, you can mark them, as 'Lost' if helpful, however, the main thing is really Winning the appropriate sub-proposal. Toggle to the sub-proposal you would like to turn into a job-order, and then click the 'WIN" button.

NOTE: c) Duplicating an estimate that has multiple sub-proposals (even if converted or retired) will copy the sub-proposals onto a new estimate.

We hope you like this helpful multi-proposal option. It really helps you track the specifics without having to overwrite information on a single estimate, or having to create completely separate estimates in situations where the client would like some different service/pricing options to consider.
