When you have an on-site estimate to perform and want to get your estimate on the calendar, we recommend creating a Meeting Interaction event.

Say you have a customer that would like you to pay them a visit to assess their needs. You may have an idea of what they are interesting in, yet, often an on-site visit is required to fully assess their needs and to establish proper pricing. Meeting interactions can be very helpful in this kind of scenario.

In the Interactions section of the estimate page, click the 'Create Interaction' button.

The new interaction form will default to be designated as a 'Meeting' interaction. Set the date/time details, the meeting address (Required), along with any resources/employee assignements and notes. Click save to create the meeting interaction which will trhen be tied to the estimate and also displayed on the main calendar page.

Note: Meeting interactions are ideal for estimates. 'Appointment' events are more ideal for official jobs. When you Win an estimate, the original meeting details will copy onto the resulting job and will offer a helpful reference to when the initial on-site estimate was performed. Meeting events will not populate the 'Service Details' section of your invoice pdfs. Only official Appointments will populate the 'Service Details' section in the header of your invoice pdfs.
