How to create a Discount Group

Discount groups can allow you to create fixed-discounts that can be applied across certain caterogies of products/services and assigned to your customers in the pricing options section of their profile pages. *If you have the discount groups feature turned on and have the proper permission access.*

Discount groups are intended to assign to certain customers so that their promised discounts are pre-applied to their jobs and not missed/forgotten. They can be handy for things like Senior's discounts, VIP clients, or Commercial clients where discounts are promised.

Ex. Veteran Discount - Here we have a 20% discount group for veterans that we assign to certain customer that are veterans.

To create a discount group, visit the Discount Group page under the Inventory builders section of the customize menu. Start by clicking the 'New Discount Group' button.

Name your discount group and enter the percentage of the discount being offered.

You may enter a start and end date for the discount group to be applicable (not required).

You will need to select any/all specific product categories that you would like the discount group to apply to. By selecting a category, this means all products/services tied to that category will have the discount automatically applied to them, when they are added to the client's quote/order.

Click save when finished.

Once your discount group is created, you can then assign them to certain customers within the pricing options section of their profile page (if you have the discount groups feature turned on. If you need it turned on, please contact support through our chat).
