Rental and Retail products have the ability to have their inventory tracked. When you create a rental or retail item, you will see the inventory tracking is turned on by default and you can enter the quantity of those items that are in your inventory. Note: You can turn the inventory tracking for a product off at any time.

The inventory tracking helps keep track of the quantity of the product that is in your inventory. You can update your quantities within the product's profile page at any time. Retail quantities are subtacked from your stock every time they are sold. Rental quantities subtract from your available stock temporarily, until they are marked as returned on the related job.

When you add a rental or retail item with inventory tracking to a job, you will see how many of the product you have available. NOTE: rental BPro systems will display an Availability Calendar in the products section of the jobs. When renting, it is important to check that you have the necessary inventory for the rental date range that your client needs. Setting the availabillity calendar date range is crucial to seeing accurate available inventory quantities for that date range. Otherwise you will only see your total owned stock, regardless of what quantities are currently rented-OUT.
