What is two-factor authentication?
By enabling two-factor authentication, you add a second layer of security to your Bookie Webapp account.
This means that after entering your username and password, you must confirm your identity in a second way to verify that you are the actual account holder.
This provides extra security, for example if you forget to log out on a shared computer or if someone gains access to your login credentials.
There are different forms of two-factor authentication, also known as: authentication, 2FA, two-factor authentication, security key, double security
One common method is entering a code from an authentication app, such as LastPass or Google Authenticator
Enable 2FA in The Bookie Webapp
You can enable this extra security in four simple steps:
Download an Authenticator app on your phone
On your laptop, go to Account > Security in The Bookie Webapp and click Set up two-factor authentication
Scan the QR code generated by The Bookie Webapp with your authenticator app and enter the token
Generate backup tokens in case you lose your phone
