We want to update you about some important changes following Rebel Energy’s closure.
As you may know, Rebel Energy has ceased trading. Ofgem, the energy regulator, stepped in to protect customers by appointing British Gas as an interim supplier. Thanks to the hard work of everyone involved, we’re pleased to welcome many of these customers to Bunch.
Depending on when you joined us, your journey may look a little different:
• Some of our customers originally moved from Rebel Energy to TRU Energy, and then joined / remained with us at Bunch.
• Others moved directly from Rebel Energy to British Gas through the Ofgem process, and are now coming across to us.
Whichever path you took, please rest assured:
• Your energy supply is secure — there’s no interruption to your gas or electricity.
• Your account balances are protected — if you had credit, it will be honoured.
• There’s no need to take any action — we’re working hard behind the scenes with British Gas to ensure a smooth handover.
At Bunch , we are fully committed to making this transition as easy and stress-free as possible. We are working closely with British Gas to bring all customer accounts into our systems and ensure everything is set up properly.

• You don’t need to do anything right now. We are working with both administrators and British gas to manage this on your behalf
• We’ll be in touch if we need anything from you.
• Please bare with us while we finalise the transfer of accounts — it might take a little time, but we’re making sure everything is done correctly.
