If we are unable to switch your energy supply, it is likely due to an objection from your current supplier.

An objection is when the current supplier in the property has not allowed the switch to go ahead and you will remain with that supplier until the objection is removed.

Bunch will advise you if we have been unable to take over the supply. Unfortunately we will not be advised of the reason due to data protection reasons, however the two most common reasons for an objection are due to debt or an unclear address.

Objection due to debt

If the switch has been objected due to debt, you will need to speak to the current supplier of the house and establish if this is due to a previous occupier or if you were already in the house when signing with Bunch this could be a bill that you would need to clear before coming across to our supplier.

Objection due to unclear address

If you have been advised that we have been unable to takeover the supply as there is a query with your address then we would need you to send a clear picture of your meter ensuring that the serial number and the full meter is visible. Bunch can then verify this against the national database of energy meters to ensure that the details are correct and ensure that the correct supply is taken over.

Energy charges during the objection period

Bunch will not charge you for your energy whilst the service is not live with our supplier and you will only be billed at this point. Please be aware that this could lead to a larger bill once supply has been switched.
