A smart meter is a new type of meter that provides you and our energy supplier with live consumption information through a wireless network. The benefits of having a smart meter include never being billed on an estimated read again, fully understanding and tracking your usage, and automatic readings being sent to our supplier, so you don't have to go through the hassle of providing regular meter readings. Smart meters are also free to install, and we will attempt to change all our customers' old meters to new smart meters. Please note, there is a backlog in getting new meters supplied, but where possible, we will attempt to change all of our customers' old meters to new smart meters.
