The Priority Service Register (PSR) is a free service to identify those most vulnerable during a period of no electricity, gas or water. This helps us to identify customers who may need extra communication and support.

You are eligible for the PSR if any of the following conditions apply to you or anyone in your household.

  • Have reached your state pension age

  • Are disabled or have a long term medical condition

  • Are recovering from an injury

  • Have a hearing or sight condition

  • Have a mental health condition

  • Are pregnant or have young children

  • Have extra communication needs (including those who don’t speak or read English well)

  • Need to use or store medical equipment or medicine that requires a power supply

  • Have poor or no sense of smell

  • Struggle to answer the door or get help in the event of an emergency

You may still be able to register for other reasons not mentioned above. For example, if you need short-term support after a stay in hospital. To find whether you are eligible to join the PSR, contact us via email at info@the-bunch.co.uk or call us on 0333 358 3377.

How to register

Energy suppliers and Network operators will both keep a Priority Services Register. If you think you are eligible and would like to be added you either need to contact your energy supplier or network operator. You can also register directly here.

You will need to provide your contact details and as much information as you can about your needs. Your supplier can pass your details onto your network operator to ensure you are added to their register too. It is best that you ask them to do this if you rely on your energy supply for medical reasons.

If you have a different supplier for your gas and your electricity, you will need to contact both suppliers.

When you switch suppliers you will need to register again with your new supplier.
