The rollout of smart meters in every home has been pushed back by four years until 2024, the government has revealed. This has led to delays with meter exchanges as a smart meter is installed as standard.

This push back has meant that meter exchanges across the country are currently delayed across all energy providers across the UK.

At present we are prioritising meter exchanges where there is a fault which will be handled as an emergency.
