It is very important to ensure you keep yourself and your account as safe and secure as possible while using Discord and we have 3 key points for you to note:

  • Security Tip 1: Disable DM’s

    • DM’s (direct messages) are unfortunately a common way for people to be scammed and so we recommend turning these off in EVERY server that you join.

    • On a desktop: click on the ‘down’ arrow in the very top left corner of the screen:

      • Then click on ‘Privacy Settings’ in the below drop down menu:

      • Turn off ‘Direct Messages’ in the below screen:

    • On a mobile: click on the 3 dots at the top of the server next to ‘The Fabricant’, this will bring up a screen showing general server information.

      • Scroll down until you reach the below screenshot and turn off ‘Allow Direct Messages’

    • On both desktop and mobile, if you keep ‘Allow Message Requests’ on, you will still be able to see who is requesting to message you but you will have to approve them first.

    • Always remember, The Fabricant team will NEVER DM you first!

  • Security Tip 2: Beware of Links

    • The ‘Official Links’ channel in our server is home to all the official links to our website, socials, collections and The Fabricant team.

    • We advise you not to click on ANY links if you are unsure of them or if they have not come directly from The Fabricant team.

    • Always remember, we will NEVER do a surprise mint.

    • If you are unsure of any links posted or abnormal activity in the server, please tag a mod (Community Moderator). All our mods can be found in the ‘Official Links’ channel:
