While Wild Toes come with a 12-Month Replacement Guarantee from purchase, we want our customers to get the most out of our products. Below you'll find a comprehensive guide to how to maximise both the lifespan on your Wild Toes and the benefits.
Wild Toes Training and Usage
We recommend starting off with 10-15 minutes and then gradually building up from there. However, to restore natural foot function your feet need an active approach that includes progressive strength, balance and mobility work, which is why we created the Online Foot Training System.
Wearing them for more than 1 hour per day without actively training in them won't provide significant added benefits for your feet and will only shorten the products lifespan. They are soft silicone after all! We know that splayed toe feeling can be addictive but we recommend using your Wild Toes time intentionally for the best results.
To help your feet get the most benefit, we recommend:
Spending more time barefoot (when safe to do so)
Wearing shoes with a naturally wide toe box
Wearing toe socks to gently encourage spacing (when not wearing wild toes)
Using your Toe Bands for active mobility and strength
Completing some targeted release and mobility drills before wearing your Wild Toes
Most importantly, not just using your Wild Toes passively like an orthotic, they should be used in conjunction with active training.
Key exercises to try:
Toe Piano
Human Toe Spreader
Toe Crunches
Toe Band Exercises
You can find a great walkthrough in this video:
These drills help prep your feet for optimal Wild Toe use — and remember, they work best when used actively (e.g. walking, balancing), not just sitting still.
Quick fit tip:
When putting them on, the narrow, pointy ends go between your toes, with the larger curves facing outward. (You can find more images on our website if you'd like a visual guide.)
How to care for your wild toes and your actual toes
⚠️ To maintain the durability of your Wild Toes, we always ask that you handle them with care for the benefit of your feet and the product.
Limit use to shorter periods while your feet adjust — they’re most effective in moderation over time. Start by only wearing them for 10-15 minutes per day and slowly increase. Benefits are greatest with active use.
Avoid wearing them in narrow shoes that compress them. Only wear them with wide toe box footwear that gives your toes enough room to splay that that won't rub on the wild toes when walking.
Only wear them indoors or in a clean and hazard free environment
Don’t wear them in wet environments like the shower or pool
Do not overstretch the toe separators beyond their natural flexibility
Remove them if you feel any discomfort or unusual pressure
Clean with mild soap and cool-warm water after use
Allow to dry completely before storing
Keep away from direct sunlight
Store in a cool, dry place when not in use
General Cleaning Instructions
Wash your silicone wild toes with hot water and a grease-cutting dish soap.
Leave the wild toes slightly wet and apply a good amount baking soda to any greasy areas.
Gently massage the baking soda into a creamy paste.
Allow the baking soda paste to dry on the wild toes, which may take a few hours.
Wash the wild toes again in hot, soapy water to remove the dried paste, ensuring it's all gone.
Dry the wild toes, and they should be clean and ready for your next use.
