Changes to the SoleMate Design

Updated over 3 months ago

Why did the SoleMate get design updates?

At The Foot Collective, we're committed to enhancing the SoleMate experience by improving its durability, functionality, and longevity. Below are the key design updates across different SoleMate versions.

Version 1.0: The Original Design

  • Innovative Design: The original SoleMate introduced an unique two-piece structure with channels to allow the halves to be locked together. This design allowed users to easily assemble the halves using Toe Resistance Bands, transforming the product into a balance beam setup. The semi-circle cutouts on the island sections provided additional space for fingers, making it easier to attach and remove the bands.

Version 1.1: Structural Improvements

  • Upgrades: The channels from the original design were removed, and the mini roller cavity was centralized to enhance the strength and durability of the cork halves. With the updated SoleMate Training, we discovered that the ability to quickly reposition the two halves was more beneficial than locking them into balance beam mode. Testing showed that the halves remain stable in balance beam mode without bands on most surfaces. This has improved the ease of use of the SoleMate, specifically with the improved Free Online SoleMate Training System.

Version 1.2: Upgraded Toe Resistance Bands

  • Upgrades: The Toe Resistance Bands were upgraded to a fabric blend of Latex and polyester, significantly enhancing their strength and durability. These bands are not only more resilient but also offer a more comfortable feel on the feet and an improved aesthetic. The fabric blend provides a softer texture, making them more pleasant to use during exercises.
