How to import a list and bulk skip trace

Bring in your own spreadsheet of properties and work it like any other list.

Already have a spreadsheet of properties? Import it, match each address to our records, then skip trace the owners in one run.

You can import on a trial or on Premium. Each imported property uses one lead save, out of 100 during your trial or 5,000 every billing period on Premium.

Get your file ready

  • A CSV, XLS, or XLSX file, up to 10 MB

  • Column names in the first row

  • The full address in one column: street, city, state, and ZIP

  • Up to 2,000 rows per file. Split bigger files and import them one at a time.

Import matches by address, so use an address column rather than an APN.

Import your list

  1. Click Import list on your Home page, or go to Leads and click Import list.

  2. Click Select file, or drag and drop your file.

  3. Under Match your address column, pick the column with your addresses and click Import.

  4. Each row shows In progress, Found, Error, or Duplicate. To fix an Error row, click the pencil, correct the address, and click Save. To drop a row, click the trash icon.

  5. Click Finish. Choose New list and name it, or Existing list, then click the import button. It shows how many properties you're adding.

Only the Found rows are added. A property that's already on another of your lists, or in Portfolio or Archived, is left out of the import and stays where it is. The import report tells you how many. New properties can take a few minutes to show up.

Skip trace your list

When the import finishes, click Skip trace these now. Or open the list from Leads any time:

  • One property: use the Skip trace button in its row.

  • Many at once: tick the properties you want, then Skip trace selected.

Before you confirm, you'll see how many skip traces the run uses. Properties already skip traced, ones with no owner found last time, and ones missing an address are left out, and you're only charged when an owner is found. On Premium, you can skip trace up to 2,000 properties in one run. A trial includes 25 skip traces in total.

Results fill in as each one finishes, and you can leave the page while it runs. Each row shows the first phone, with its DNC tag if it has one, and the first email. Open the property to see everything the skip trace found.
