Want to host an event at TRC? Here's everything you need to know about our event spaces, pricing, and how to get started!

What Kind of Events Can I Host?

The Record Co. offers professional event experiences for:

  • Album release parties and music showcases

  • Corporate events and team gatherings

  • Community celebrations and fundraisers

  • Educational workshops and panels

  • Product launches and networking events

  • Wedding receptions and special celebrations

Our Event Options

Studio A Events (960 Mass Ave)

Perfect for intimate gatherings (up to 40 people)

Our flagship recording studio creates an amazing atmosphere for your event. You get:

  • 6-hour event window + 2 hours for setup/cleanup (8 hours total facility access)

  • Professional sound system and recording studio atmosphere

  • Basic facility access

Want more space? Add our Community Room for an extra 20 people - perfect for catering, breakout sessions, or a quiet space.

Pricing:

  • Community rate: $800-$1,200 (seasonal)

  • Partnership rate: $1,600-$2,400 (seasonal)

  • Institutional rate: $2,400-$3,600 (seasonal)

  • Community Room add-on: $200-$400 (Community) / $400-$800 (Partnership) / $600-$1,200 (Institutional)

Full Facility Takeover (960 Mass Ave)

Perfect for large events (up to 150 people)

Take over our entire building! You get:

  • 8-hour event window + 4 hours for setup/cleanup (12 hours total facility access)

  • Access to all our spaces: Studio A, Community Room, creative spaces, and common areas

  • Kitchen access and vendor coordination

Pricing:

  • Community rate: $4,800-$7,200 (seasonal)

  • Partnership rate: $9,600-$14,400 (seasonal)

  • Institutional rate: $14,400-$21,600 (seasonal)

Studio 55 Outdoor Stage (55 Morrissey Blvd)

Perfect for large outdoor events (up to 500+ people)

Professional outdoor venue with:

  • Secured, fenced area

  • Professional outdoor sound system

  • Events must end by 10:00 PM (neighborhood consideration)

How Do I Know My Rate?

We use a three-tier pricing structure based on your organization:

Community Rate:

  • Emerging artists and grassroots organizations

  • Individual artists and small creative collectives

Partnership Rate (2x Community):

  • Established nonprofits (under $1M budget)

  • Small-medium businesses

  • Cultural organizations

Institutional Rate (3x Community):

  • Large corporations

  • Major nonprofits (over $1M budget)

  • Government agencies

Not sure which rate applies to you? Our team will help determine your rate during consultation.

Add-On Services

Staff Support:

  • Dedicated staff support: $30-$40/hour

  • Audio engineer: $65/hour

Documentation:

  • Professional photography: $500-$750

  • Video documentation: $600-$1,000

Facility:

  • Early setup access: $100-$200/hour

Getting Started

Timeline

  • Studio A Events: Submit request 30+ days before your preferred date

  • Full Facility & Outdoor Events: Submit request 45+ days before your preferred date

  • We'll respond: Within 24 hours

  • Pay deposit: Within 24 hours of approval

  • Final payment: 10 days before your event

Requirements

  • Create a TRC account at therecordco.org

  • Signed event agreement

  • Certificate of insurance:

    • Studio A: $1M general liability recommended

    • Full Facility & Outdoor: $1M general liability required

Special Studio A Scheduling

Studio A is our most popular space, so we have some guidelines:

  • Only one event per day in Studio A

  • Weekend availability: One weekend night per week (Friday OR Saturday 6:00-10:00 PM)

  • You can book consecutive weekends

Questions?

Can I bring alcohol? Yes! Beer and wine are allowed with approved vendors.

Is the space accessible? Absolutely! All our spaces are wheelchair accessible.

Where do guests park?

  • 960 Mass Ave: Parking lot at main entrance (south parking lot)

  • 55 Morrissey: On-site parking available

Do you handle RSVPs? Nope - you'll manage your guest list and check-ins.

What if I need to cancel? Contact us immediately! Cancellations with less than 10 days' notice may be subject to fees.
