This video will walk you through the steps and features of recommending a grant to a charity from a fund.

How to recommend a grant from a fund?

STEP 1

After logging in, click the "+ New Grant" button in the upper right corner of your Dashboard or Grants tab from within your fund.

STEP 2

Search for and select a charity recipient at the top of the grant form. If your desired charity does not populate, select the "+ Add New" button and follow these steps to recommend a new charity be added to our approved charity database.

STEP 3

Make sure the fund you wish to use is displaying at the top of the Grant Details section. Enter the amount to be granted to the charity.

STEP 4

Choose the timing, whether a one-time grant or a recurring series of grants to be pulled from the selected fund at specific recurring intervals.

STEP 5

Choose how the grant should be recognized. This should include your information and the fund information if you wish to identify the source of the grant. Because you are using a donor advised fund at The Signatry, you have the option to check the "Make grant anonymous" box and the grant recognition will simply be known as from The Signatry.

STEP 6

Include any purpose notes for the grant to be seen by the charity recipient, and if you need The Signatry to receive any instructions, include those by clicking the "+ADD" button under Instructions for The Signatry.

STEP 7

Select the "Review" button to review all of your grant details. If all information is correct, click "Submit Grant."

If you want to understand the process and timing of your grant recommendation, you can follow the lifecycle of a grant in our system by watching the video under What Happens When I Recommend a Grant?
