Instructions for notifying The Signatry about a transfer and initiating the transfer with your broker

Updated over a week ago

Contributions of publicly traded securities must be attributed to your fund via a notification form.

If you or your financial advisor/broker initiated a gift of publicly traded securities to The Signatry, we must have the following form submitted in order for us to track the gift, liquidate it, and attribute the sale proceeds to your fund.

After filling the form out, the Donor Care team will review the submission and follow up with you if there are any questions. Note that completing the notification form does not initiate the transfer. Your broker must initiate the transfer.

Please see below for information about where to direct your transfer. For securities being transferred to The Signatry's main account (not to an Advisor Managed Account), contact your broker to initiate the transfer. Securities received into The Signatry's main account will be liquidated upon receipt. The contributor(s) designated within this form will receive email communication once a transfer is completed.

Deliver all DTC/ACT eligible securities to:
Charles Schwab and Company
DTC 0164, Code 40
Account Name: The Signatry
Account Number: 9511-3100

If unable to deliver via DTC/ACT, please contact a member of our Donor Care team.

Note: The financial institution holding the securities may require the use of its own form or letter of instruction. Please check with the firm to see what additional forms they require. If the securities are not transferrable, notify The Signatry that the intended gift will not be completed.
