Access
To access the recruitment module, you must firstly have the correct user roles. You will need Succession Access and Add/Modify Target Players user roles. You will also need to be assigned to the recruitment teams and age groups which you are recruiting for. Your club administrator can allocate user roles for you and assign you to the relevant recruitment teams/age groups.
Locate the pages from which to search for a player in the database via the main Navigation Menu – usually found under Recruitment, depending on what system you are using.
Only See Own Content User Permission
On a per scout/staff basis, there is a user role called – Only See Own Content. If you have this use role then you will only be able to see players which you have added to the database, or been linked to by another scout.
*The only exception to this is if the club decides that you can have access to all players in the database, but you would still only be able to see information you have added against the player
Allows All Scouts To Modify Target Players
This is a club specific user permission. If the club/organisation wish for their scouts to see ‘all players in the database’ then this option allows for this. (Part of the recruitment options)
If a scout has the ‘only see own content user role’, they would see all players, but not the content such as reports, notes, attachments and videos.
Recruitment Staff in Age Groups and Teams
When adding a player to the system, the scout can only add players for age groups / teams from which they have been granted access too. An example of this may be a scout who only scouts for the U15s and U16s at a club, so would not need access to add or view data for the U9-U14s.
When searching for players in the recruitment database, you will only be able to see players who you created, or others created (depending on visibility settings and user roles), but only for the teams/age groups that you have access too.
Even as a recruitment administrator, if you are only assigned to academy teams and age groups, you would not be able to see 1st team recruitment players.
Searching for a player
When you access the Player Search Page from the Recruitment module in the navigation menu, you will be taken to a page where you can search the database for players you have access and visibility rights too.
Quick search – This is at the top of the page – typing in a players name in here will bring up a list which will filter according to the ‘type and find’ functionality. This will search players based on the player being active and visible for you to search.
Basic Search Criteria – this provides you with a number of search filtering options such as Forename, Surname, Club, Gender, Position, Recruitment Status, Contract Expiry, Age or by Scouted Added. There is also an option to look at archived, non archived or any players. Using a selection of these filtering options will narrow down your list of players.
Advanced Searching – there is an option at the bottom of the filtering to ‘Toggle Advanced Reporting’. This allows the user to be able to use more advanced searching options based around Scouted Player Assessment Reports. An example of this might be to bring back all players who have scored Greater Than or Equal to 8/10 in Technical. OR only players who have had 5 or more reports.
Completed Search
Once you have completed the search on the players, using the filtering options (or just clicking Show Results without any filtering to bring back all your visible players), you will now see a list with all the players who are visible to you.
Sorting of Players
Once the search has been completed you can sort based on the fields which have been configured to show (recruitment administrator and explained more in the other features section of this document). You have the ability to add more than one level or sorting so you may say Sort by Column D, then by Column F, then by Column A.
Access to the player information
When you have your list of players, you will be able to access and add some key information to the players profile. On the right hand side of the player row, you will see a cog wheel and from the cog wheel you will have the ability to view the player summary, view/add reports, view/add videos, view/add attachments, view/add notes as well as look at their club and status history
OTHER FEATURES
Player search summary view – when you have completed a search on the database for players, this will bring back a table highlighting some key information for the player.
As a club/organisation you have the ability to configure what the information you see by default is. You also have the ability to create multiple views – as an example you may want one view that shows basic details, one view which provides a summary of information based on reports, one view that provides a summary of information on their current clubs details.
These views are configured in the System > Recruitment Options and can only be configured by the club administrator or someone with the recruitment administrator user role.
Configuring Player Summary View (must be a club admin or recruitment admin)
Login to the platform, click on the system module > click on the recruitment tab > click on the option to Modify Club Target Player View.
Here you can create different views and upon creating a view, you add the relevant content which you would like to be visible
