There are areas (if the right options are switched ON) for players to create/record their own Sessions and Matches. This can be used in conjunction with staff led sessions to give a complete perspective of the workload a player is under.

The Coaching activities/drills a player can use must also be configured in the main platform settings.

App Settings

To enable players to start to use the self-reporting features, we must first switch on the app options from the main site.

These are club wide options.

• Go to the System area > on the far right of the departmental tabs, you should see a tab called ‘Apps’

• Click App Options > toggle the option to ‘allow players access to self-reported Sessions’

Coaching Activity Settings

Sessions Themes

  • When players are adding sessions, the list in which they can choose activities from must be configured by someone at your club with ‘Performance’ or ‘Fitness’ administrator user roles

  • Go to the System area > Choose either the Fitness or Performance tab > look for an option called Session Themes

  • Session Themes are an optional feature for players. If you wish to allow players to add a theme, you can either – Edit an existing theme you may be using or add a specific theme for self-reported sessions

  • To use an existing Theme > Click the edit button on the far right of the relevant theme > Toggle the option to make it ‘Visible in Self-Reported Coaching Sessions’ > Click Update

  • To add a new theme > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Add the Theme name > Choose a colour > Toggle the option to make it ‘Visible in Self-Reported Coaching Sessions’ > Choose the team(s) you would like to see the theme > Click ‘Add’

Session Topic/Drills

The activities that Players can add are set by staff in the system area.

  • Go to the System area > Choose either the Fitness or Performance tab > look for an option called Session Topics

  • You can use the same session Topics as you do with your staff added session plans or you can create new self-reporting specific ones

  • To use an existing topic > Find the topic in the list and click Edit on the far right > Check the option ‘Visible in Player added sessions’ > Click ‘Update’

  • To add a new topic > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Add the topic name > Check which teams the topic is for > Check the option ‘Visible in Player added sessions’ > Click ‘Add’

Linking Topics to Activity Types

The topics/drills within Sports Office all belong to an Activity type. This allows detailed reporting of the type of training a player has undertaken in any given period.

For example – You could have an activity type called

- Small Sided Games

The topics belonging to that activity type could be

• 6 v 6

• Touch and Pass

• 5 v 3

• 8 v8

And so on.

  • Go to the System area > Choose either the Fitness or Performance tab > look for an option called Session Activity Types

  • You can use the same Activity Types as you do with your staff added session plans or you can create new self-reporting specific ones

  • To use an existing Activity Type > Find the Activity type in the list and click Edit on the far right > In the ‘Drills’ column, drop down the field and check which Topic/Drill you wish to link to that Activity Type > Click ‘Update’

  • To add a new Activity Type > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Add the Activity Type name > Choose what ‘category’ that belongs to > Check which teams the Activity Type is for > Click ‘Add new type’ > Follow the above steps to link the Drills/Topics to the new activity type
