There are system options in both the Fitness and Performance areas of the System page.
To access these areas, you will need the Fitness Administrator and Performance Administrator user roles.
Your Club Administrator/Superuser can allocate user roles to you.
Session Details Options
Locations and Surface Type
To add Locations you must be a Club Administrator. The option sits in the System Administration options. You can link Location and Surface types together on the same page so that when you select a Location it auto selects the surface type.
Theme
Session Themes can be added in the Fitness or Performance areas of system > Session Themes.
Session Themes go across the whole club. You can chose to show them on the schedule page as a tile and assign a colour to them.
Session Themes are also used in GPS reports and our Custom Report Builder.
When viewing GPS data, you can choose to view only data from certain themes i.e. Only show Total Distance from GD - 3.
Within our Custom Reports you may want to view Workload scores from only a certain theme or view the number of sessions split by session theme.
Fixture
Cannot be altered, this shows fixtuires that are in the database for the team you are currently in (top right). We use this field in various areas and allows users to tag events against a fixture.
That way when using the Match Day Section feature, the user can see all events and data relating to a specific fixture.
Activities Options
Participants and Coaches
You can default the session planner to select all players for the session and default to select the coach creating the session as the coach in the activities.
System > Fitness Options > Default Session Attendees(team name)
System > Fitness Options > Default Session Coach to Current User
Activities
This is the bespoke list of coaching activities that you can chose from when creating your session plans. These can be completely different for each team within your club if need be.
We have activities split into Activity Type and Drills/Topics. You can add these in either Fitness or Performance areas of System
System > Fitness/Performance > Session Activity Types
Activity Types must be assigned to an overarching Category. These cannot easily be changed as they fundamental to our database structure and reporting elements. Please speak to your client manager if you have any queries regarding this.
System > Fitness/Performance > Topics/Drills
You must give the activity or drill a name and assign it to the teams/squads wishing to use that in their session plans.
PLEASE NOTE - You may only want to use Activity types in the session planner and this is possible using the Session Topic Selector options discussed further in this guide.
Linking Activity types and Drills/Topics
You can link your Topics to specific Activity Type. The easiest way to do this is by adding the complete lists of Activity Types and Drills/Topics > Then go to the Activity Types and Click Edit from the right menu > You can now link all the Drills/Topics that will relate to that Activity Type.
Session Topic Selector Mode
As mentioned briefly above, you have slightly different modes of adding your session activities to a plan. These modes are:
Standard - Shows as 2 Separate boxes in the session builder. Users can select any combination of Activity Type and Drill/Topic that are in the database assigned to their teams
Category and Type Only - Shows as 1 activity box in the session planner. Allows the user to select an Activity type only
Combined - Shows as 1 activity box in the session builder. Allows the users to select the Drill/Topic whilst seeing what activity type that is linked to. The linking process above must be followed to use this mode.
Coaching Groups
You can create Coaching Groups to help speed the process of selecting participants for each activity.
System > Fitness > Coaching Groups > Give the name of a group and then you can assign players to it.
Session Evaluations and Objectives
Session Evaluation
You can completely hide Session Evaluation if you prefer.
System > Performance > Performance Options > 'Hide Session Evaluation for Sessions (Team Name)
You can also pre-load a response template within the Session Evaluation area.
System > Performance > Manage Session Evaluation Notes
This can be used if you would like your coaches to answer certain questions/statements after each session.
Objectives
By default, within the Session Objectives you have areas for Session Notes, Key Factors, Tactical, Physical, Psychological, Psychological/Social and Social.
You can turn these off in
System > Performance > Show Additional Session Note fields(team name)
Un-check them to hide.
If you hide them all along with Session Evaluations, the whole tab disappears from the Session builder.
You can also load the Session Objective areas with pre-defined answer options
System > Performance > Manage Session Objectives
You can then add the objective statements, select which area it belongs i.e. Technical, Tactical etc and which teams you would like to see them.
Coaches can then select these objectives on the session builder and the populate the notes sections.
Other Settings
There a range of other settings in both
System > Performance > Performance Options
System > FItness > Fitness Options
that relate in some way to the options around session planning. They are described in the pages above but always worth checking that you have the correct configuration before getting in touch with our support
