To Create a New Category

Follow these steps to add a new category:

  1. Log In to Your Account:

    • Open The String platform and log in with your credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Dashboard:

    • Once logged in, you will be directed to your main dashboard.

  3. Access Category Management:

    • In the dashboard, locate the sidebar or top menu.

    • Click on "Settings" Then Click on Category

Add New Category:

  • Look for an option or button labeled "Add New Category" or "Create Category."

  • Click on this option to start the process.

Enter Category Details:

  • Fill in the required details for the new category. This typically includes:

    • Category Name: The name of the new category.

    • Category Description: A brief description of the category.

    • Parent Category: If this category falls under a broader category, select the parent category.

Save and Confirm:

  • After filling in all the necessary details, click on "Save" to create the new category.

  • You may receive a confirmation message indicating that the category has been successfully added.

Verify Category Details:

  • Go back to the Category Management section to verify that the new category is listed.

  • Check the details to ensure everything is correct.

Edit or Delete Category

  • To edit a Category click on the 3 dots in the "Action" column.

  • Choose "Edit" to Edit Category details

  • Click "Save" to see the new updates in the Categories list.

  • To delete a Category click on the 3 dots in the "Action" column next to the chosen Category

  • Click "Delete"

  • Confirm deleting the Category

Tips:

  • Clear Naming: Use clear and descriptive names for categories to avoid confusion.

  • Consistent Structure: Maintain a consistent structure for categories and subcategories.

  • Regular Updates: Periodically review and update categories to reflect changes in your product or service offerings.
