We are aware that some users have been experiencing performance issues with Sukha such as high CPU and Memory usage.

Our team is actively investigating the root cause of these problems and working on implementing permanent fixes. In the meantime, we would like to offer you a few temporary workarounds that can help improve the performance of the application.

Please note that these suggestions are not permanent solutions, but they have been reported to help alleviate the issues you may be facing until we can implement a more comprehensive fix.

Minimize Sukha While in a Session

To improve performance, try minimizing Sukha while in a session. This action can help reduce the processing resources consumed by the application and result in a smoother user experience.

Turn Off the App Awareness Feature

The App Awareness (Desktop only) feature may be contributing to the performance issues some users are experiencing. As a temporary workaround, we recommend turning off this feature. To do this, navigate to the app settings and toggle off the "App Awareness" option.

Utilize the Sukha Chrome Extension

The Sukha Chrome extension can help improve the performance of the application by offloading some of its functionality to your browser. To install the extension, please visit the following link:

Disconnect Calendar Integration

The calendar integration feature may also contribute to performance issues. To disconnect your calendar, go to the app Settings > Integrations > Google Calendar section, and click on the "Unlink this Account" button.

Close Sukha Completely More Often

Closing Sukha completely when not in use can help reduce the strain on your system resources.

Disable GPU (Windows Only)

Open Start menu,

  1. Right-click on the "Sukha" icon,

  2. Select "Open File Location"

  3. Now, on the folder that is open, right-click on the shortcut for "Sukha"

  4. Select Properties

  5. On TARGET, add --disable-gpu to the end (it will be C:\Users\_username_\AppData\Local\Programs\Sukha-\Sukha.exe --disable-gpu)

We understand that these performance issues can be frustrating, and we appreciate your patience while we work on addressing them. Our development team is actively working on a more permanent solution to improve the overall performance of Sukha.

In the meantime, we hope that these temporary workarounds will help provide you with a better user experience.
