Sound too good to be true?

We can assure you there are no hidden costs.

Just to make our members more confident, here are all the possible costs that you may incur at different points in your time with the Bike Club, with links to where you can find more information on the website.

Fees

Delivery, monthly payments and joining fee

There is a joining fee of £19.99 charged at the start of your Bike Club membership. You can find more information here: www.thebikeclub.co/delivery

The monthly payment is charged as a direct debit. Each bike has its own monthly cost which is also displayed on the following page: www.thebikeclub.co/all-bikes

New bike

If you'd like a new bike, you'll have to pay just a little bit more than for a reBike. All information is displayed on each individual bike page.

Exchange

Exchanges cost a flat fee of £19.99, which covers delivery of your bike and collection of your old bike. Please note that you will have to pack your old bike into either its old box, or into the box of the new bike.

More information can be found at our dedicated exchange website: www.exchange.bike

Cancellation

Cancellations are subject to a fee of £20, which includes a collection of your bicycle.

Send a box

We ask all members to keep their boxes, as they will be needed to return the bike.

If you'd like to cancel but haven't kept the box, it will cost £40 to send out another one. This might seem unreasonable, but it only partially covers what it costs us to send this out!

Damage outside of reasonable use

We accept that a certain amount of wear and tear will be caused by normal use of the bike. We also give our bikes a full service before we send them out again.

However, if damage happens to the bike that couldn't have possibly been caused by normal, considerate use, we may have to charge a fee, which could in extreme circumstances be as high as the value of the bike.

Refundable fees

Some fees are refundable until a certain point, while others are not refundable. The following fees may be refunded under certain circumstances:

Delivery fee

Refundable in the event of a cancellation by either the customer or the Bike Club, before the bike is dispatched from the warehouse.

Joining fee

Refundable in the event of a cancellation by either the customer or the Bike Club, before the bike is dispatched from the warehouse. Also refundable in the event that the member orders two bikes separately to the same household, as the joining fee is charged once per family.

Monthly fee

Not refundable unless we make an error.

New bike

Not refundable unless we make an error.

Stabilisers

Not refundable unless we make an error. The stabiliser monthly charge will be removed if the stabilisers are returned to the Bike Club once your child no longer needs them. The Bike Club does not arrange for collection of stabilisers except when it is done alongside a bike exchange.

Exchange

Refundable in the event of a cancellation by either the customer or the Bike Club, before the bike is dispatched from the warehouse.

Cancellation

The cancellation fee is charged once we have arranged and co-ordinated a time with the customer. Once this is done, the cancellation fee is no longer refundable and an additional cancellation fee will be charged for any subsequent collections that need to be arranged.

Send a box

Refundable in the event of a cancellation by the member, before it is dispatched from the warehouse.

Note: Delivery and joining fee cannot be refunded if the bike is delivered later than expected due to courier delays in transit.
