To initiate the duplicate checking process from the Customer Card, follow these steps:
1. From the Customer Card, locate and click on the Dup Check icon within the Customer Card icon tower. Note that scrolling may be required to find this icon.
2. Upon clicking the Dup Check icon, a list will be presented, displaying any potential duplicates. Review this list carefully.
3. To ensure accuracy, click the icon under the Preview column to the right of the potential duplicate. This action opens a preview of the account details.
4. After reviewing and confirming that it is indeed a duplicate, select the checkbox to the left of the entry.
5. Once selected, the "Check" will turn green, indicating successful verification.
6. A blue box in the bottom right-hand corner will appear, providing the option to merge the selected item. Click the blue Merge Selected button to proceed.
7. The selected duplicates are merged as per the chosen options.
Note: Reversing this process at a later time is possible, offering flexibility in the management of duplicate records. For the unmerge process, click the button below.
