How do I submit a story?

To submit a story for editorial consideration, create an account here. From your dashboard, you can access your settings. In your settings will be an option to “Submit Your Story” where you can paste your story and fill out all remaining details. An editor will get back to you within a few weeks of submission. How do I submit the best quality images for my story?

Great pictures are critical to creating a quality story. Beautiful imagery also helps your story get more views on social media.

To help you out with the best way to capture or create the best quality images, we’ve created a set of easy to follow guidelines that will help you take better pictures.

Do you take previously published blog posts?

Yes we do. Please include the link as well as the entire story (and let us know that you retain author rights over this story and the ability to publish it elsewhere).

Do you take video submissions?

If you’d like to submit a video, please email it to video@themighty.com.

What if The Mighty decides not to publish my story?

If you are a contributor, it will be in your “Other Stories” section in the MVP, where you can access it at any time.

If you are not yet a contributor, you will receive a copy of it in your email.

What happens after I submit a story?

You will receive an automated email explaining that your story is under editorial review. If we choose to publish your story, we will contact you with specific instructions on how to proceed.

Can I edit my story after submission?

Email us at community@themighty.com, and we can put the story back into your “Other Stories” folder in the MVP, where you can make edits and resubmit.
