How to delete your account
There are two ways to delete your Mighty account: through The Mighty mobile app, or by sending an email request. You only need to do one of them, and either method will be effective, whether you primarily use The Mighty mobile app or the website TheMighty.com.
How to delete your account using The Mighty mobile app
Sign into your account on The Mighty mobile app
Navigate to your user profile. Here are two ways:
If you see it, select your profile image in the top-right.
Alternatively, select "Menu" on the bottom-right, then select "Profile".
Select "Preferences"
Select "Account"
Select "Delete My Account"
Follow the steps to confirm your account deletion
Note: If you are a Mighty Contributor, it will take some extra care to delete your account. You will be directed to enter your request for account deletion via a form.
How to delete your account with an email request
Please send an email to privacy@themighty.com requesting that your account be deleted. Send the email from the email address associated with your account.
How long will it be before my account is deleted?
Your account and any content posted from the account will be deleted within 24 hours.
I've deleted my account, can I get it back?
No, deletions are permanent. We do not retain account data once an account is deleted, so we cannot recover a deleted account.
You are always welcome to make a new account with us.
