Connecting the Magento API integration enables the tracking of returns, refunds, and voided payments, and customer lifetime value. It also double checks the ThoughtMetric data for accuracy so you can be confident in the ThoughtMetric data.

1.) Log in to the Magento admin console.

2.) Navigate to System -> Integrations

3.) Click Add a New Integration

4.) Click on the API tab and set Resource Access to All

5.) Click on the Integration Info tab and enter ThoughtMetric as the name of the integration and then click Save & Activate

6.) In the following screen copy the Access Token value that is presented.

7.) In ThoughtMetric, navigate to the Integrations screen and click Connect under the Magento icon. Paste the Access token into the access token text box. Enter the URL for your website under the appropriate text box and click Connect.

8.) Back in the Magento Admin page we have one more setting to adjust. Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Services > OAuth > Consumer Settings. Then toggle the Allow OAuth Access Tokens to be used as standalone Bearer tokens option to Yes.
