Locations are the unit ThreadWork is organised around: each location has its own reviews, its own review sources, its own subscription, and — if you want — its own tone of voice. This article covers adding locations after your workspace already exists, and managing them day to day.
Add a location
Go to Settings(1) -> Locations (2) and choose +new location (3) and ThreadWork walks you through connecting it — pick the location from your connected Google Business Profile (4) (or connect a Google account that manages it), check the details, and you're done. Reviews for the new location start flowing into the same Inbox.
Set up Billing
Payment can be customized and adjusted individually for each location. Choose your plan and payment details as you like.
ℹ NOTE — BILLING
Pricing is per location, per month. Adding a location adds it to your bill; removing or cancelling one reduces it from the next billing period. See How ThreadWork pricing works.
Location statuses
Active — reviews are syncing and replies are going out normally.
Paused — you've switched the location off temporarily (for example, seasonal closure). Nothing syncs or publishes while paused.
No sources — the location exists but has no review source connected yet, so no reviews can arrive.
Source expired / revoked — the connection to the review platform stopped working and needs to be reconnected. See Connect and manage review sources [link when published].
Per-location settings
Open any location to manage it individually:
General — name, address, photo.
Sources — which review platforms feed this location.
Communication — tone of voice and reply behaviour for this location, when it should differ from the workspace default.
A location can only live in one workspace
If you try to add a location that's already attached to another workspace, it appears greyed out. Contact support to have it freed up.
Deactivate, reactivate or delete a location
Cancelling is self-serve, per location: the location stays active until the end of its paid period, then stops. Cancel some locations and keep others, or cancel all of them — there's no notice period and no long-term contract.
To deactivate or delete a location go to Settings → Locations → and choose your desired location.
After you've selected the location you want, scroll down. Here you can deactivate (4) or delete (5) the location. Click on the desired field.
To reactivate a location, go to that same spot.
