Traveling to different cleared facilities is a normal activity as an employee. Traveling with multiple coworkers is also pretty normal --- ThreatSwitch allows for you to submit a Visit Request for multiple coworkers so you can include all the information in one report. Eliminating the need to elaborate outside the initial submission and also preventing your employer from receiving excess information. Want to learn how? Follow the steps below to submit your first multi-user VAR.

  1. Log into ThreatSwitch, open 'Visit Requests' and select 'Add a Visit Request'

  2. Fill out all required fields, when selecting 'Single Visitor' or 'Group', select 'Group'

  3. You will then have the option to 'Edit Visitors' and add who will be joining you on this visit. There is no limit to the number of visitors.

  4. Once you complete all required fields and/or any additional fields, select 'Save'.

Congrats! You have successfully submitted a multi-user VAR to your employer.

The more you know!:

  • When you submit a Visit Request for other coworkers, they will receive an email notification and also have visibility into the VAR.

  • Your Security Team/FSO will also receive an email notification regarding this VAR and then will be able to take the appropriate next steps.

  • Once your Security Team/FSO changes the 'Status' you will be notified via email of this change. You can then log into ThreatSwitch and monitor if it has been submitted to JPAS, Active or Expired.
