How to use the AI Tailored Resumes tool to customize your resume for a job application

Customizing your resume for each job you apply for can be quite time-consuming. However, It is important to add keywords from each job post to your resume to stand out. Using AI to tailor your resume makes getting started faster. By completing a few short steps, you can tailor your resume to help you land your next role.

Start by going to your Job Tracker.

Select a saved job.

Select the AI Tailored Resumes tab from the top navigation menu and press Get Started.

You have the option of:
1. Selecting a saved resume

These resumes are the files you have saved in the Resumes section of the Thrive platform.

2. Uploading a new resume

Have a resume in your files? Upload it here to customize it for this job.

3. Starting a new resume (then coming back to tailor it for this job)

Don't have a resume yet? Click on "I don't have a resume" to create one. Check out this article to help walk you through.

Once you have generated a tailored resume, you will see it saved within that saved job. It is also saved in the Resumes section with that Company Name and Job Title in the file name for easy recognition.

Select Edit to review this new resume and check for accuracy. Once you have finished editing the file, you can download it to apply to this role.
