You can message a booked or prospective client through MyThrive before a coaching session. You can start the conversation from the session details or open your messages from the MyThrive header.

How do I message a client from the session details?

  1. Sign in to your MyThrive coach account.

  2. Select My Sessions.

  3. Find the relevant booked session.

  4. Select View to open Session Details.

  5. Select Message client.

  6. Enter your message in Type your message.

  7. Select the Send icon.

How do I open my messages from the MyThrive header?

  1. Select the message icon in the top-right corner of MyThrive.

  2. Select the client from the list on the left.

  3. Enter your message in Type your message.

  4. Select the Send icon.

You can use the search field to find a client. The conversation also shows the client’s previous and upcoming session information, when available.

What can I use messages for?

You can message a client to:

  • introduce yourself before the first session;

  • remind them to complete their client questionnaire;

  • check whether they need anything before the session;

  • confirm an agreed action;

  • discuss a booking or possible reschedule; or

  • follow up after a previous session.

Keep your message relevant and professional. Don’t include confidential information about anyone else.

What happens next?

Your message will appear in the MyThrive conversation.

The client will receive an email notification showing that you’ve sent them a message. They can select View and reply to open MyThrive, read the conversation and respond.

If the client has opted in to SMS notifications, they’ll also receive an SMS notification for unread messages.

The email comes from a notification-only address that doesn’t accept replies. The client must select View and reply rather than replying directly to the email.

Can I message a client during a coaching session?

Yes. Use the Chat control inside the live coaching session.
