How billing works for pay-per-mile insurance

Your policy has a per-mile rate, for example: 2.8p per mile. Every mile you drive is multiplied by that rate. However, when we show you a journey, we’ll round down the cost in your favour.

That means if you manually add up all your mileage and multiply it by your per-mile rate, you might find your monthly bill isn't exact. But don’t worry - your bill will always be the exact calculation or less, never more.

Example

If your per-mile rate is 2.8p and you drive 73.24 miles in your billing period:

2.8p x 73.24 miles = £2.05072

But we round down to £2.05, so that’s your bill for the month.
