What are Manual Blockers?

Manual blockers let you block areas and resources in your system that should be fully or partially unavailable for a certain period of time. They’re often used to enter custom reservations that don’t really fit into your existing product setup.

What can I use manual blockers for?

Manual blockers help you avoid booking conflicts by blocking specific areas or resources. For example, you might want to block a space that’s under renovation or a court that won’t be available due to a special event.

The best part? You don’t have to change your product availability – it’s quick and keeps everything clear and organized.

How to set it up

🖥️ Web App

  1. In the menu on the left, click on Manual Blockers.

  2. Click the blue button at the bottom right and choose whether you want to create a one-time or recurring blocker.

  3. Add a name, a time frame, and – if needed – customer details. Then click Continue.

  4. Select the resources you want to connect to this blocker – it can be an area, a resource, or a team member.

  5. Click Create blocker – and you're done!

📱 Mobile App

  1. Open the menu – under "Scheduling" you'll find Manual Blockers.

  2. Tap on "Add new blocker" and select whether it should be a one-time or recurring blocker.

  3. Enter a name, a time frame, and – if needed – customer details. Then tap Continue.

  4. Choose which resource you want to block – this can be an area or a resource.
(Blocking team members is currently only available via the Web App.)

  5. Tap Create blocker – and that’s it!

Best Practices for Manual Blockers

  • Use short, descriptive names so they’re easy to recognize in the calendar.

  • Add customer details to keep your manual blockers organized.
