In TicketSpice, you can add a stage to your venue to help visually represent your event layout. You can use these elements to show where the stage, dance floor, or other key features are located, giving attendees a clear view of your venue’s setup.

Warning: The venue builder on a Reserved Seating page has a 15 minute inactivity timeout. To avoid losing progress, users must save their changes at least every 15 minutes if they are not actively editing. If changes are not saved within this timeframe, the system will not retain any updates.

Add a Polygon Shape

Pro Tip: TicketSpice requires that each venue include at least one polygon shape before publishing the ticketing page. If no polygon shape is added, you'll see this error when attempting to publish: "Your layout must have a focal point selected. Edit the seating chart to select a focal point." If you see this error, we recommend editing your venue, and adding a polygon shape to the venue.

If you're using the option to automatically assign a selling order to seats, TicketSpice will prioritize seats closest to the first stage added to the venue.

FAQs

Is there a limit to the number of polygon shapes I can add to my venue?

You can add up to 100 polygon shapes in a single venue.

Why am I seeing the error: "Your layout must have a focal point selected. Edit the seating chart to select a focal point"?

There are several reasons you may see the error "Your layout must have a focal point selected. Edit the seating chart to select a focal point" when attempting to publish.

  • Your venue does not have a stage: TicketSpice requires that each venue include at least one stage before publishing. If you see this error, we recommend adding a polygon shape to the venue

  • Your venue is set to manually assign selling order, but not all seats have been assigned a selling order number: If you manually assign the selling order, every seat in the venue must have a selling order number before you can publish. If you are seeing a focal point error and you have a stage added to your venue, we recommend switching the selling order to auto-assign, or manually assigning a selling order number to each seat.
