The Ticket Is in My Name But Someone Else Is Going
This is common β you might have bought a ticket for a friend, a family member, or as a gift. Or you bought multiple tickets in one order and they all show your name.
Will It Be a Problem at the Door?
It depends on the event organizer. Tick'it does not set or enforce name-matching rules β that's entirely the organizer's decision.
How to Check
Read the event description and ticket details carefully β The organizer will usually state whether tickets must match the attendee's ID.
Check below each ticket category β Some organizers add name requirements in the fine print under specific ticket types
If nothing is mentioned β In most cases, if the organizer hasn't specifically stated that tickets must be nominative, the ticket can be used by anyone regardless of the name on it (but decision still lies on the organizer - always better to ask him/her).
β οΈ Special Discount Tickets Are Usually Checked
If the ticket has a special discount meant for a specific type of person (e.g. under 18, student, resident of a specific city), the name on the ticket will likely be verified at the door.
How to Fix It β Transfer the Ticket
If the event requires nominative tickets and the wrong name is on the ticket, you can transfer it to the correct person:
Open the Tick'it App
Go to My Events
Tap on the ticket β Actions β Transfer
Enter the attendee's email address
They'll receive a new ticket in their name via the Tick'it App or the email.
Important: Transfers are final and cannot be reversed. The transferred ticket also becomes non-refundable. The initial purchaser will be refunded.
Not Sure? Ask the Organizer
If you can't find clear information about name requirements, contact the organizer directly.
