Why Payments Get Rejected

Card payments can be rejected for several reasons:

  • Insufficient funds β€” Check your account balance and try again

  • Card rejected by our payment gateway β€” Our payment gateway has rejected your card due to security reasons.

  • Card declined by your bank β€” Your bank may have blocked the transaction for security. Contact your bank to authorize it, then try again on Tick'it

  • Incorrect card details β€” Double-check your card number, expiry date, and CVV

  • 3D Secure / OTP verification failed β€” Some banks require a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS or approval in your banking app. Make sure you complete this step when prompted

  • Card type not supported β€” Verify that your card type is accepted

  • Card is blocked by the payment gateway β€” Check that your card type is accepted on Tick'it

What to Try

  1. Double-check your card details and try again

  2. Contact your bank to authorize the transaction

  3. Try a different card or payment method

  4. In Lebanon, you can also pay by cash at Bob Finance/OMT, Whish Pay, or OMT Pay Wallet

  5. Outside Lebanon, try Apple Pay or Google Pay as alternatives
