Autologin is designed to determine whether a user has accessed the designated redirect page associated with a campaign or integration with an advertiser.
The redirect URL may be provided in the broker's response following the submission of a lead. In such cases, we simply direct the user to this link after registration.
Alternatively, we can redirect the user using a different link not included in the broker's response, such as a static link (e.g., google.com) or a thank you page. If the broker doesn't provide a redirect link, we redirect the user to the broker's link directly based on their documentation or requirements.
This configuration is managed by our support team as part of the integration process.
Once the redirect link is accessed, its entry is recorded in the "leads" tab. To verify, click on the relevant response and examine the brand response.
For more information about "leads" tab in CRM please refer to our leads manual.
If the link has been entered you would see it as "used".
If it hasn't been entered then you would see "not used".
Please note:
An autologin link functions as a single-use link. In other words, attempting to use the link more than once will result in an error.
Additionally, not every brand has an autologin for us to implement / generate / parse.
So in some cases we will just use a random URL or a URL requested by our client.
And in the minority of cases there is no autologin and we will still return the autologin url generated by us but it will lead to an error.
In order to make sure the link is being entered properly, let's first understand how autologin works.
How does autologin work?
This feature has two working methods:
If you mask (hide) your autologin, which is the default, Trackbox will monitor the link, and will know if the autologin was used or not.
If it's hidden then you and the user would see in parameter "data" your trackbox's API URL.
For example:
If the autologin is not hidden, and the autologin is set with the broker link, we cannot know if it was used or not, only your brand should be able to tell.
In such a case in parameter "data" you won't see your domain but the broker's name/API URL.
You have the option to decide if a particular affiliate is able to view the brand's URL or not, meaning you can choose whether the link is hidden from them or not.
To configure specific settings for an affiliate, navigate to the affiliates tab, select the relevant affiliate, and find the Mask auto-login setting
Mask auto-login turned on (as in the screenshot) - the redirect link is hidden and we can track the link.
Mask auto-login turned off - the redirect link is not hidden, we cannot track the redirect and can't know if the link was used or not.
Once your affiliate has sent you a *successful* lead they will get the link for the redirect page under parameter "data" in response.
Only successful leads can have auto-login redirection:
If they won't enter the link - autologin won't work, you would see leads with autologin "not used".
If you see leads with autologin not used you need first to make sure the affiliate is entering the link they are getting in parameter "data".
If you see leads with autologin as "unknown", it means that the link is not hidden, therefore we can't know if the link was entered or not.
Troubleshooting
In case there is an issue with autologin, for example the broker can't see the autologin was used on their side:
First make sure your affiliate is entering the redirect link.
If they are entering it and you see in our system that the autologin was used - you need to make sure the redirect link we're using is correct.
In order to make sure the set redirect link is correct, you need to check with your broker what should be the redirect page.
In case the link is not working (you're getting an error or the it redirects to nowhere), please first check with the broker which redirect link should be used.
If the link is not correct or you want to make any changes for this campaign, please contact support.
Please note that the hidden link you see in parameter "data" is not the actual redirect link, it is masked in order to hide it from your affiliates and it will lead to the actual brand URL.
If you want to know which redirect link we are using for an integration you need to send a test, enter the link you're getting in "data" and you will see it in your browser, just like you would see the link of any other website:
You can also see the actual redirect link in the "brand response" registration info for the relevant lead.
If the redirect link is wrong please contact support and ask them to change it.
If the the advertiser's redirect link is set correctly and they still can't see on their side that autologin is being used - they need to check with their CRM support team what is the issue.
