Once you’ve scheduled your design consultation, you should receive a meeting invite confirming the date and time. When it is time for your meeting, be prepared to receive a phone call from your designer.
Before your call:
Think through the top priorities and goals for your yard
Look for any problem areas you want to discuss
Be prepared to describe your ideal style and aesthetic (colors, materials, etc.)
Align with your spouse or anyone else who will have input on the final design
During the call:
Conduct the call in your yard and think of it as a virtual site visit
Take your time to really talk through your priorities
Show your designer some of the more difficult areas in your yard
Invite your spouse so they can participate as well
Explain how you are thinking about the budget
