Shortly after the video consult with your designer, you will receive a document summarizing both the existing conditions of your property and the priorities for your new design. Here are some tips on reviewing each:
Basemap: This is a visual representation of the existing conditions prior to any new design elements. It is meant to capture the measurements, scale and placement of your property lines and any major features like the home, garage, walkways, trees, etc. You will be asked to approve the basemap before the designer can move forward.
Project Scope: Equally important to a successful plan is that your designer clearly understands your key priorities and their order of importance. They will compile the information from your design profile and your video consult to summarize what they heard were your top goals and/or concerns. Before approving or submitting your feedback, we recommend reviewing this list carefully and gathering input from a spouse or others as needed.
Please Note: Any significant changes to the basemap or project scope after you have already approved them, may result in an added design fee to reflect the work needed to make these changes.
