You can update the username, the password, or both at the same time.
As these are existing students, the first step is to prepare a spreadsheet with the following information:
First name (mandatory)
Last Name (mandatory)
Existing username (optional but will help us match the students)
Class (optional but will help us match the students))
Year group (optional but will help us match the students))
New password (optional)
Usernamenew (optional)
Important: If you are uploading a new username, the column name MUST be "usernamenew" otherwise, our system won't be able to identify that as the new username.
It should look a bit like this: (this example is showing all optional columns):
Next, go to Account > Classes > Upload CSV and follow the onscreen instructions.
Now click Review Import.
You'll see that the system has matched the students in your spreadsheet to the student accounts that already existed.
Important: Our system will try and match the students based on their names. If you're finding that the system is struggling to match, try adding the existing student usernames to your spreadsheet as an extra column with the header "Usernames". This will help us match the students on your spreadsheet to the existing students.
Double-check that the students have been matched correctly before moving on.
Once you're happy that the students have been matched correctly, click Complete Import.
