We value your trust for Tackle and want to highlight how important it is to keep your personal information safe. In this article, you can learn more about your calendar data privacy when you use Tackle services.
Information Tackle gains access to
Once you choose to connect one of your calendars, Tackle obtains the level of access that it is the minimum scope provided by the Google API to be able to do its job. Here's what it means in practice - Tackle can:
See your profile info
See your personal info, including any personal info you've made publicly available
See your Google Account email address
See calendars you have access to on your Google Calendar
See the calendars you created and any other calendars you can access
See events on your calendars and on other calendars you can access
Download a copy of your calendar and any other calendars you can access
See the email addresses of the contacts or groups you share calendars with
✅ Tackle only accesses calendars linked to the Google Account you sign in with. For instance, if you log in with joe@example.com, Tackle can access calendars tied to that email only. Calendars under a different email, like joe@gmail.com, won't be accessible to Tackle (unless it is shared with joe@example.com).
What information Tackle can use in your connected calendar
User profile information
This includes the name and email address of a user.
List of calendars a user has access to
Tackle accesses the titles and IDs of calendars that the user's Google Account has access to. It doesn't get access to your other calendars unless you choose to connect them too.
Event details from the connected calendar(s)
Tackle gets access to your events, which includes:
Event title
Emails of event attendees
Attached properties
Other event metadata such as duration, start time, end time, etc.
Please note: we don’t store event descriptions or access any attachments.
