π We know how important it is to keep your personal information safe and we take it seriously. Please take a moment to review our privacy policy. It will help you understand how we protect and manage your information.
This article outlines what information Tackle can access when you link your Google Calendar with us and how we protect your privacy.
What information can Tackle access from your linked Google account?
π This section outlines the data that Tackle can access but is not necessarily used or stored by the system. Tackle obtains this level of access because it is the minimum scope provided by Google that is required to support Tackle's features.
After you connect your Google Account, Tackle can access the following data:
See your profile info
See your personal info, including any personal info you've made publicly available
See your Google Account email address
β
See and download any calendar you can access using your Google Calendar
See the calendars you created and any other calendars you can access
See events on your calendars and on other calendars you can access
Download a copy of your calendar and any other calendars you can access
See the email addresses of the contacts or groups you share calendars with
β Tackle only accesses calendars linked to the Google Account you sign in with. For instance, if you log in with joe@example.com, Tackle can access calendars tied to that email only. Calendars under a different email, like joe@gmail.com, won't be accessible to Tackle (unless it is shared with joe@example.com).
What information does Tackle use from your linked calendar?
This list is not comprehensive but here are some of the information that Tackle uses:
User profile information
This includes the name and email addresses of the user who signed in.
List of calendars the user has access to
Tackle accesses the titles and IDs of calendars that the user's Google Account has access to.
Event details from linked calendars
Tackle only stores and uses data from calendars the user has explicitly linked. We do not use information from any other calendars unless they are connected to Tackle by the user.
The information we use includes:
Event title
Emails of event attendees
Attached properties
Other event metadata such as duration, start time, end time, etc.
Please note: we donβt store event descriptions or access any attachments.
β If you prefer to keep your personal calendar entirely separate from Tackle:
A) Use a Google Account to sign in to Tackle that does not have access to that calendar. This way, Tackle will not be able to access your personal calendar.
Or, B) Do not link that calendar to Tackle, so Tackle will not use or store any of its data.
How do we protect your calendar data?
