How to change account ownership

Members of the same workspace may be assigned different roles, but there can only be one owner per workspace. Owners have access to all features and can modify application and permission settings. You can learn more about member roles here.

By default, the user starting a workspace is assigned to an owner role, but you can change ownership by following these steps.

How to ensure smooth transition of ownership

In case the owner had previously connected all the calendars to your workspace (vs. members doing this on their own), removing them will mean that your connections will be gone too. Here's how you can avoid this scenario:

  • Ensure subscription transfer: the new account owner should have access to all the calendars connected to your workspace.

  • Disconnect calendars: the current account owner must disconnect all existing calendars. Here's how to disconnect calendars in Tackle.

  • Reconnect Calendars: the new account owner can go ahead and reconnect all existing calendars. Here's how to connect calendars in Tackle.

Please ignore these steps if the owner did not connect calendars other than their own. To proceed with ownership change, please send an email to support@timetackle.com and include the following:

  • Existing and new account owner emails

  • Your preferred next step: removing your existing owner from the workspace entirely or keeping them and changing their role.

Once we receive the necessary details, we will proceed with your ownership changing process. This may take up to 48 hours to process.
