Understanding why Negative values have been awarded
If you’ve noticed a negative value appearing on your rewards dashboard, you may be wondering why this has occurred. Most negative values awarded are due to a ChargeBack one of our providers has lodged against a survey or offer you completed in the last 90 days.
What is a ChargeBack?
A ChargeBack is a payment dispute made to the user of a failed survey or offer. The issuer then contacts the merchant (in this case, us) to collect the funds that were initially paid.
What does this mean for me?
When a ChargeBack is issued, it is up to the merchant to investigate and resolve the issue in a timely manner. Since the merchant is liable for the funds that have been reversed, this sometimes results in negative values being automatically awarded on your rewards dashboard as a form of compensation.
